Artist & Content Policy

Syntha does not offer open self-upload. Every artist must apply via the artist application and be accepted before content is admitted to the catalog. Acceptance is at Syntha’s sole discretion. Applying does not guarantee acceptance.

Once accepted, artists submit content through the managed upload workflow. All tracks are reviewed by the Syntha moderation team before any public access (streaming, downloads, or support) is enabled.

By submitting content to Syntha, you represent and warrant that:

• You are the sole rights holder, or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, permissions, and clearances for the content you submit — including master rights, composition rights, mechanical rights, sync rights (if applicable), and any third-party sample clearances.
• You have the right to grant Syntha the licenses described in this policy.
• Your content does not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of any third party.
• All information you provide about rights, ownership, splits, and publisher/admin is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
• If your content uses the voice, likeness, or persona of any third party, you have obtained all necessary consents and rights.

License to Syntha

By submitting content, you grant VaultSpark Studios LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide license to stream, display, and distribute your content on the Syntha platform; to create promotional excerpts and clips for marketing the catalog; and to transcode or adapt your content as necessary for technical delivery. This license is for the duration of your content’s presence on the platform and terminates upon verified removal.

Accurate AI (Artificial Intelligence) origin disclosure is mandatory for every track. You must select the origin type that honestly describes how the track was created:

Human

Written and performed by people, with no generative AI in the creative core.

AI-Assisted

Human-led work where AI tools contributed to parts — ideas, stems, mixing, mastering, or other elements. The creative direction and primary contribution is human.

Synthetic

Primarily generated by AI systems. The output was disclosed, reviewed for rights and provenance, and is accepted as a legitimate creative form on Syntha.

Transformed

An existing work reworked into a new version — remix, cover, reinterpretation — with rights documented and cleared.

Hybrid

A blend of human and AI contribution across writing, vocals, or instrumentation, where neither fully describes the creation.

Submitting a false or misleading origin disclosure is a material breach of this policy and may result in immediate removal of content and termination of your artist account.

Syntha does not accept content that:

• Infringes the copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of any third party without clearance or license.
• Uses the voice, likeness, or persona of a real person in a false, misleading, or non-consensual manner, including non-consensual AI voice cloning.
• Promotes violence, hate speech, or discrimination against any individual or group.
• Contains child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualization of minors.
• Violates applicable laws, including laws governing defamation, privacy, or harmful content.
• Constitutes spam, malware, or other abusive material.

Syntha reserves the right to reject any content that, in our sole judgment, is not appropriate for the platform, regardless of whether it strictly violates the above criteria.

All tracks submitted to Syntha are reviewed before any public access is enabled. The moderation review covers:

• Rights documentation (master, composition, splits, publisher/admin fields)
• AI (Artificial Intelligence) origin disclosure accuracy
• Content standards compliance
• Provenance and metadata completeness

Syntha may request additional information from you during review. If you do not respond within a reasonable time, we may decline to publish your content. Moderation decisions are at Syntha’s sole discretion. You may appeal a rejection by contacting legal@syntha.music with supporting documentation.

Current payout model

Syntha is in early operational phase. Payouts from listener support, downloads, and credits are processed manually on a periodic basis. Automated Stripe Connect payouts are not yet enabled.

Revenue share

Revenue share rates are set individually at the time of artist onboarding and confirmed in writing. Revenue is calculated after platform fees, payment processing fees (including Stripe fees, typically 2.9% + 30 cents per transaction), applicable taxes, and any payout holds.

Payout holds

Payouts may be held pending: dispute or chargeback resolution; fraud investigation; rights complaint; rights verification; or unusual transaction volume requiring manual review.

Tax obligations

You are solely responsible for all taxes on income you receive from Syntha. In the United States, if you receive USD 600 or more in a calendar year, VaultSpark Studios LLC may be required to issue a Form 1099-NEC. You must provide accurate tax identification information upon request.

Requesting a payout

To request a payout, contact legal@syntha.music. Payments are issued via bank transfer or another method agreed at onboarding. Minimum payout thresholds and processing timelines are communicated at onboarding.

If Syntha receives a valid DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) takedown notice for your content, we will disable access to the content, notify you where legally permissible, and retain evidence for legal compliance. See our DMCA Policy for the full process, including how to submit a counter-notice if you believe a takedown is in error.

Syntha may suspend or terminate your artist account at any time for: material breach of this policy or the Terms of Service; repeated or egregious rights violations; fraudulent, misleading, or abusive conduct; or any conduct that, in Syntha’s sole judgment, harms the platform, other artists, or listeners.

Upon termination, your content will be removed from public access. Pending payouts for legitimate transactions completed before termination will be processed subject to any applicable holds. Contact legal@syntha.music to appeal a termination decision.

You may also request removal of your content at any time by contacting legal@syntha.music. Removal requests are processed within a reasonable time frame.
